Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan returns with Your Community Hub, continuing its sonic exploration of the New Towns movement and the social ideas behind it.

For this latest instalment, Gordon Chapman-Fox focuses on the concept of community and the network of centres designed to provide essential services within walking distance of people’s homes - ideas that predate today’s “15-minute cities” by decades.

The album reflects on the gradual decline of these shared spaces and services, from local shops and post offices to youth clubs and healthcare access, and the wider impact this has had on community life and wellbeing.

As with previous releases, the album is beautifully packaged and designed by Chapman-Fox, featuring archival photography from architect Peter Garvin, documenting modernist community spaces from the era.
