Tranquonauts - III (Sigurnova Pulse/Neon Green and Black Splatter) LP Vinyl

Tranquonauts – III is the third album from the Australian-American psychedelic rock collaboration featuring members of Seedy Jeezus, guitarist Isaiah Mitchell of Earthless and multi-instrumentalist and producer Tony Reed, known for his work with Mos Generator, Big Scenic Nowhere and Stone Axe.

Building upon the expansive musical approach of their previous album, II, Tranquonauts continue to explore the boundaries between heavy psychedelic rock, progressive rock, krautrock and experimental improvisation. Their music combines extended instrumental passages, hypnotic rhythms, atmospheric textures and powerful guitar-driven arrangements, allowing each musician the freedom to explore ideas beyond their established bands.

Where II featured two extended, side-long compositions, III presents four individual pieces, each exploring a different aspect of the group's musical influences. The album moves between heavy riff-driven psychedelia, melodic rock, atmospheric post-rock and expansive instrumental experimentation, demonstrating the versatility of the musicians involved.

Opening track "All Rise" delivers a powerful combination of heavy guitar riffs and exploratory improvisation, establishing the album's heavier direction. "Space Child" offers a reinterpretation of the 1970s UFO composition, transforming the original into an extended psychedelic arrangement shaped by the band's distinctive musical approach.

On the second side, "Broken Star" introduces a more melodic direction, drawing upon traditional rock songwriting while retaining the group's psychedelic character. Closing track "S() Sigurnova" takes inspiration from Icelandic post-rock, developing through atmospheric passages, gradual crescendos and expansive instrumental textures.

The musical chemistry between the members remains central to the project. Seedy Jeezus contribute their experimental approach and heavy psychedelic foundations, while Isaiah Mitchell's expressive lead guitar work brings the improvisational character associated with Earthless. Tony Reed adds his extensive experience in songwriting, production and heavy psychedelic rock, helping shape the album's varied musical arrangements.

Recorded as a collaborative exploration of their shared musical influences, III brings together four distinct compositions that range from crushing heaviness to spacious, atmospheric experimentation.

This limited Sigurnova Pulse edition is pressed on Neon Green with Black Splatter vinyl, with only 200 copies available. Manufactured in Germany by Pallas Group, the album is specially mastered for vinyl playback and presented in a gatefold sleeve.
