Ashes and Bone marks the return of The Electric Mud, a band determined to push forward and build on the foundations of their earlier work.
Written with a clear thematic focus, the album explores humanity’s fascination with its own destruction - channelling darker ideas into a collection of heavy, riff-driven compositions.
Recorded at Juniper Recordings in Florida with producer Caleb Neff, the sessions fostered a collaborative and open environment that shaped the album’s dense, organic sound. The record is further elevated by a powerful mix from Ben McLeod (All Them Witches), bringing clarity and weight to its layered instrumentation.
Blending sludge, prog and classic heavy rock influences, Ashes and Bone draws comparisons to Soundgarden, Mastodon, Black Sabbath and Graveyard, while firmly establishing its own identity as a bold step forward for the band.
