The original soundtrack to Star Wars: A New Hope returns in this limited-edition Japanese vinyl reissue, celebrating one of the most iconic film scores ever composed. Written and conducted by John Williams, the music for the 1977 classic helped define the sound of modern cinema and remains one of the most recognisable orchestral scores in film history.

Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, the score introduced themes that would become synonymous with the Star Wars saga, including the legendary Main Title, the sweeping Princess Leia's Theme, and the dramatic Imperial Attack. The unforgettable Cantina Band sequence also originates from this film, adding a distinctive and playful moment to the soundtrack.

This Japanese pressing features the original Japanese jacket artwork complete with obi strip, and is pressed on blue vinyl. The audio is sourced from the original 1977 soundtrack recordings and remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound using the high-resolution 192kHz / 24-bit masters released in 2018.
