Seedy Jeezus - Seedy Jeezus (Sun Machine Edition) LP Vinyl

The long sold-out debut album from Seedy Jeezus returns on vinyl, capturing the raw foundations of a trio that quickly earned a reputation as one of Melbourne's essential live acts.

Formed in 2010, the band built their identity around extended musical freedom, heavy riff structures and a strong sense of live interaction. Their music constantly shifts, stretches and reconfigures itself, moving between driving grooves, psychedelic exploration and spontaneous improvisation.

Recorded with Tony Reed of Mos Generator at Melbourne's legendary venue The Tote, the album was deliberately tracked with a live-first approach. Minimal overdubs and an emphasis on genuine performance energy give the recording a direct, unpolished character, reflecting the band's natural stage dynamics rather than a heavily constructed studio sound.

Across tracks such as Wormhole, Universal Overdrive and Chasing the Dragon's Tail, Seedy Jeezus combine powerful, riff-driven structures with expansive psychedelic guitar passages. Their sound draws on the spirit of classic psychedelic rock while embracing heavier, groove-oriented foundations, allowing each composition to develop through improvisation and controlled intensity.

Originally released in 2015, this reissue brings the band's debut studio album back to vinyl, preserving the raw energy and musical freedom that established their distinctive sound.

The Sun Machine Edition is pressed on heavyweight neon yellow vinyl with black dust, specially mastered for vinyl playback and presented in a gatefold sleeve. Manufactured in Germany by Pallas Group, this edition is limited to just 200 copies.
