This is the soundtrack to Get Carter (1971), the all-time classic British gangster film starring Michael Caine and directed by Mike Hodges.

The score by Roy Budd marked a major turning point in his career, bridging his work as a jazz musician into film composition. The result is a soundtrack filled with moments of brilliance, blending moody jazz with gritty cinematic tension.

Released to commemorate the film’s 50th anniversary, this expanded 2LP edition draws from the original Japanese (1971) and British (1998) releases, and includes a bonus disc featuring outtakes and key dialogue from the film.

This is the third instalment in Beatball’s Roy Budd Classic Soundtrack Scores series, presenting one of the most distinctive British film scores of its era.
