The story follows brilliant but unhinged medical student Herbert West as he develops a serum capable of re-animating the dead - with predictably chaotic and blood-soaked results.

Composer Richard Band crafted one of the most recognisable scores in horror cinema, delivering a manic, gothic-tinged soundtrack driven by urgent strings and darkly playful melodies. Famously nodding to Bernard Herrmann’s Psycho, the score perfectly complements the film’s balance of tension, absurdity, and outright madness.
