Pearl Jam – MTV Unplugged captures the band’s powerful acoustic performance recorded in New York on March 16, 1992.
Just three days after completing their first American tour, Pearl Jam stepped into the studio for a special episode of MTV Unplugged, delivering stripped-down versions of songs from their debut album Ten. At the time, the record was rapidly becoming one of the defining rock albums of the early 1990s.
The performance showcases the raw emotion and intensity of the band’s early material, with unforgettable acoustic renditions of Alive, Black, Jeremy, Even Flow, and State of Love and Trust. The session has since become one of the most celebrated live performances of the grunge era.
