Pale Horse Ritual - Diabolic Formation LP Vinyl

Pale Horse Ritual - Diabolic Formation is the debut album from the Canadian heavy rock outfit, delivering a potent combination of occult doom, fuzz-drenched stoner rock and dark psychedelic grooves.

Emerging from the Canadian underground, Pale Horse Ritual have crafted a sound rooted in the raw heaviness of 1970s rock, combining thick, saturated guitar riffs with hypnotic rhythms, brooding melodies and an unmistakable atmosphere of occult mysticism.

Formed in 2024 by lifelong collaborators Paco and Jonah Santa-Barbara, alongside guitarist James Matheson and later Will Adams, the band developed a shared musical vision built around uncompromising heaviness and an appreciation for the darker side of psychedelic rock.

Across Diabolic Formation, crushing low-end riffs and deliberate, almost ritualistic drumming establish a powerful foundation, while layers of distortion and melodic hooks create an immersive, slow-burning atmosphere. The music balances the weight of traditional doom with the hypnotic grooves and raw energy of vintage heavy rock.

Lyrically and atmospherically, the album draws inspiration from occult imagery, counterculture mysticism and dark romanticism. Themes of toxic love, Luciferian symbolism and nocturnal rituals complement the band's dense, fuzz-soaked sound, creating a world of candlelit shadows and sinister psychedelia.

From the opening track "Deflowered" through to the closing "A Beautiful End", Pale Horse Ritual deliver seven tracks of heavy, groove-driven music that blends vintage influences with their own distinctive character.
