Nirvana – Bleach is the landmark 1989 debut album from the Seattle band that would soon become one of the defining forces of the grunge movement.
Recorded with legendary producer Jack Endino at Reciprocal Recording Studios in Seattle, Bleach captures Nirvana in their rawest and heaviest form. The album blends sludgy punk energy with early hints of the melodic songwriting that would later propel the band to global fame.
Originally released by Sub Pop in June 1989, the record gained wider attention following the explosive success of the band’s second album Nevermind in 1991. Today, Bleach stands as a defining document of the late-’80s Pacific Northwest underground scene and an essential part of Nirvana’s legacy.
