Eyes Down by Mr Eff is a dark electronic journey inspired by the atmosphere of New York City in the early 1980s — a time when crime on the subway system was at its peak and passengers were often warned to keep their eyes down to avoid confrontation.

Drawing from that era of urban tension and sleaze, the album blends heavy analogue synth textures with seedy disco rhythms and cinematic tension. The result is a gritty slice of subway synth — capturing the paranoia, danger and nocturnal energy of late-night train rides beneath the city.
