Parisian composer Michel Dupay returns under his MAINE moniker with V, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2016 release IV. Known for his strict analogue approach, Dupay continues to craft richly textured electronic compositions using exclusively vintage equipment.
Recorded entirely using pre-1982 gear, V reflects Dupay’s dedication to analogue sound and physical media. The album was produced alongside SECONDSON, another analogue purist, and recorded through a legendary mixing console once owned by Gary Numan.
The result is a deeply atmospheric electronic work that embraces warmth, texture, and the tactile experience of listening to music through traditional formats.
