The Power to Believe, released in 2003, is the thirteenth and most recent studio album from legendary progressive rock pioneers King Crimson. It represents the culmination of the band’s “Double Duo” lineup featuring Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Trey Gunn, and Pat Mastelotto.
The album blends intricate guitar work, complex polyrhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, combining the experimental edge of King Crimson’s later work with the heavy, driving sound introduced in the 1990s. Highlights include the thunderous instrumental “Level Five”, the cinematic “Dangerous Curves”, and the reflective “Eyes Wide Open.”
This expanded vinyl edition presents the full album alongside additional material including “The Sus-Tayn-Z Suite” and selections from the companion mini-album Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With.
Cut from masters approved by Robert Fripp, the release offers the most complete presentation of this era of King Crimson and marks the first time the album has been available on vinyl.
