Discipline marks a bold reinvention of King Crimson, introducing a completely new lineup and a radically different sound that would redefine the band for the 1980s.
Originally released in 1981, the album blends complex interlocking rhythms, minimalist influences and sharp, angular guitar work, creating a precise and hypnotic sound unlike anything in their earlier catalogue. Tracks such as "Elephant Talk", "Frame By Frame" and the title track "Discipline" showcase the band’s intricate musicianship and forward-thinking approach.
Featuring Adrian Belew (Guitar/vocals) and Tony Levin (Bass/Chapman Stick) alongside Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford, this lineup brought a new level of technical precision and innovation to the band.
This audiophile edition is pressed on 200g super heavyweight vinyl, cut from masters approved by Robert Fripp, and includes an alternate version of "Matte Kudasai", as featured on the 30th anniversary edition.
