BLACKHOLE is the debut full-length album from Portland heavy rock trio HÖG. Originally formed by founding member Daniel after relocating from California’s Central Valley to Portland in 2018, the band expanded in 2024 with local musicians Adam and Bobcat, quickly building momentum through live shows and the development of their first album.

Drawing inspiration from the gritty swagger of 1970s heavy rock while incorporating punk and metal influences, BLACKHOLE delivers a dark, raw sound shaped by the atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. The album blends thick guitar riffs, driving rhythm sections and Daniel’s wide-ranging vocal delivery into a heavy, grimy rock record built to be played loud.

The album was recorded during the summer of 2024 at Arcane Amps in Portland, tracked entirely to 2” analogue tape after hours inside the repair shop. The record was mixed by Matt Williams (HELL) and mastered by Amy Dragon at Telegraph Studios.
