Opus Eponymous is the debut studio album by Swedish occult rock band Ghost, originally released in 2010.
Blending classic heavy metal, doom, and melodic rock influences, the album introduced the band’s now-iconic theatrical concept and mysterious imagery. Featuring dark lyrical themes and infectious riffs, Opus Eponymous quickly gained attention within the metal underground and helped establish Ghost as one of the most distinctive bands of the modern rock era.
With standout tracks such as Ritual, Elizabeth, and Con Clavi Con Dio, the album laid the foundation for the band’s unique mix of sinister themes and highly melodic songwriting.
