George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead – Original Motion Picture Score by composer John Harrison is presented on deluxe double vinyl.

Released in 1985, Day of the Dead is the third entry in George A. Romero’s legendary Living Dead series. The film follows a group of scientists and soldiers hiding in an underground bunker as the zombie apocalypse rages above them, exploring the collapse of society and the fragile line between humanity and savagery.

The score by John Harrison (Creepshow, Tales From The Darkside) is a dark and fully synthesizer-driven composition that mixes eerie electronic textures with unexpected Caribbean and island-inspired rhythms. The result is a uniquely unsettling soundtrack that perfectly captures the film’s claustrophobic atmosphere and creeping dread.

In 2013, Harrison rediscovered the original 1985 master tapes in the attic of a Pittsburgh recording studio, allowing the complete score to be restored, mixed, and mastered from the original sources for this definitive release.
