Wasting Light is the seventh studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters, originally released in 2011.
Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, the album was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of frontman Dave Grohl's home in California's San Fernando Valley. The back-to-basics approach gave the record a raw, energetic sound that recalls the band's early recordings while capturing the power of a seasoned stadium rock group.
The album features some of the band's most celebrated modern-era songs including "Rope", "Walk", and "These Days", alongside guest appearances from Bob Mould on "Dear Rosemary" and Krist Novoselic on "I Should Have Known".
