New Zealand multi-instrumentalist Craig Williamson unleashes The Eightfold Path, the debut album from his project Dead Shrine. Known for his work with Lamp of the Universe, Arc of Ascent and Datura, Williamson draws on his extensive psychedelic and heavy rock background to deliver eight tracks of fuzz-drenched, 1970s-inspired acid rock.

Combining crushing riffs, hypnotic grooves and expansive psychedelic passages, The Eightfold Path moves between raw proto-metal heaviness and atmospheric exploration. Thick guitar tones and driving rhythms provide the foundation, while swirling textures and extended instrumental sections give the music room to develop.

From the opening track The Formless Soul through to the explosive closing piece Incantations Call, the album embraces the spirit of classic heavy psychedelic rock while retaining Williamson's distinctive approach to composition and atmosphere.

The Eightfold Path reached number four on the Doom Charts, earning recognition for its combination of vintage heavy rock influences, fuzz-laden riffs and immersive psychedelic soundscapes.

This limited edition is pressed on yellow and aqua blue merge vinyl, featuring special mastering for vinyl playback and housed in a deluxe 350gsm gatefold sleeve with a matt finish. Limited to just 100 copies.
