Dead Shrine - Cydonia Mensa LP Vinyl

Dead Shrine - Cydonia Mensa marks the second album from New Zealand multi-instrumentalist Craig Williamson, delivering another powerful exploration of heavy psychedelic rock, fuzz-drenched stoner grooves and the unmistakable spirit of 1970s acid rock.

Known for his work with Arc Of Ascent, Datura and the atmospheric psychedelic project Lamp Of The Universe, Williamson has established himself as a distinctive figure in underground heavy music. With Dead Shrine, he channels those influences into a raw, electrifying one-man project built around towering riffs, hypnotic rhythms and expansive psychedelic soundscapes.

Following the success of his 2023 debut album The Eightfold Path, which reached number four on the Doom Charts, Cydonia Mensa continues Williamson's journey into heavier sonic territory. Combining the weight and groove of stoner rock with swirling psychedelic textures and the free-flowing energy of vintage acid rock, the album promises an immersive listening experience.

Drawing upon the sounds of classic heavy rock while maintaining Williamson's distinctive approach to songwriting and instrumentation, Dead Shrine will appeal to listeners who appreciate fuzz-heavy guitars, adventurous arrangements and expansive psychedelic journeys.
