Batman – Original Motion Picture Score returns from Mondo as a deluxe collector’s box set, featuring new vinyl variants bundled with DC’s Batman '89 graphic novel – the acclaimed continuation of the original film’s story by screenwriter Sam Hamm, with artwork by Joe Quinones and Leonardo Ito.
The set is housed in a newly designed deluxe clamshell box with artwork by series artist Joe Quinones and Paolo Rivera. The soundtrack features Danny Elfman’s iconic score, conducted by Shirley Walker, with liner notes by John Takis and original artwork by Killian Eng.
Elfman’s score for Batman (1989) is widely regarded as one of the most influential superhero film scores ever composed. Its dark orchestral themes helped define the sound of the character on screen and set the benchmark for superhero film music for decades to come.
Reissue produced by Neil S. Bulk (original album produced by Danny Elfman and Steve Bartel). Performed by The Sinfonia of London Orchestra and conducted by Shirley Walker.
