Mob Rules, released in 1981, is the tenth studio album from Black Sabbath and the second to feature powerhouse vocalist Ronnie James Dio.

Building on the success of Heaven and Hell, the band returned with an even darker and heavier sound, combining Tony Iommi’s crushing riffs with Dio’s soaring vocals and dramatic songwriting. The album also marked the recording debut of drummer Vinny Appice, whose powerful playing helped define the band’s new era.

Highlights include the thunderous opener “Turn Up the Night”, the epic “The Sign of the Southern Cross”, and the anthemic title track “The Mob Rules.” The album went on to achieve Gold certification and remains one of the most celebrated releases from the Dio-fronted period of Black Sabbath.

This expanded edition features the remastered original album alongside B-sides, alternate mixes, and live recordings from the band’s 1982 tour.
