Ancient Days - Devil's Night (Random Colour) LP Vinyl

Ancient Days - Devil's Night is a dark and uncompromising journey into occult rock, traditional doom metal and heavy psychedelia, delivering six extended tracks of crushing riffs, sinister melodies and vintage-inspired heaviness.

Steeped in the atmosphere of classic horror cinema and occult imagery, Devil's Night embraces the raw, fuzz-drenched sound of early doom metal. Thick guitar tones, hypnotic grooves and ominous melodies combine to create a brooding, immersive album that draws inspiration from the darker corners of 1970s heavy rock.

Channeling the spirit of Pentagram and Electric Wizard, Ancient Days favour slow-burning intensity, heavy distortion and an unmistakably old-school approach. The music balances the crushing weight of traditional doom with the hazy, exploratory character of psychedelic rock, creating an atmosphere that feels both menacing and strangely hypnotic.

The opening title track, "Devil's Night", establishes the album's sinister character, followed by "Watch Them As They Die" and "Lucifer Morning Star". Across the second half, the band ventures further into its shadowy musical world with "The Shape", "I Am Your Nightmare" and the closing "Face Of Fire / The Devil Rides Out".

With its fascination for occult themes, vintage horror and the darker side of heavy music, Devil's Night is an appealing release for listeners who appreciate traditional doom, proto-metal and heavy psychedelic rock.
