Dirt is the landmark second studio album by Alice In Chains, originally released in 1992 and widely regarded as one of the defining records of the grunge era.
Built around the heavy, brooding guitar work of Jerry Cantrell and the haunting vocals of Layne Staley, Dirt explores themes of addiction, despair, and personal struggle with unflinching intensity. The album combines crushing riffs with dark, atmospheric songwriting that set it apart from many of its contemporaries.
The record includes some of the band’s most iconic songs, including "Them Bones", "Rooster", "Down in a Hole", and the unforgettable closing track "Would?", which first appeared on the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe’s film Singles.
