The material continued to evolve following its debut, with Chapman-Fox refining the compositions during a subsequent UK tour. Some pieces from the original Roadburn performance were eventually discarded and replaced by newer material that better reflected the increasingly oppressive character of the finished album.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFrom the opening impact of This Machine, Industrial Growth presents a more confrontational Warrington-Runcorn than ever before. Industrial beats and white noise give way to the oppressive atmosphere of The Wire and Warrington Bank Quay, while Heavy Industry provides a rare moment of comparative light before the album descends once again into the claustrophobic machine sounds of Parkside and Astmoor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003ePost Industrial Policy introduces traces of early kosmische music amid swirling electronic melodies, before the album concludes with the noise-scarred Industrial Unrest.
